I'm getting new dentures, what will I be able to eat?

Our Surrey and Langley dentists know that eating while wearing your new dentures is going to take time and practice. At first, as you adjust to your dentures, you will need to stick to a diet of soft foods. Here are a few suggestions to help you out.

Meal Planning For People with New Dentures

Directly after your extraction, and when you first get your new dentures, you will need to stick to a diet of soft foods and liquids.

Before your denture process begins, stock your fridge with soft-foods that you enjoy. Our dentists also suggest that you prepare a few meals ahead of time, so that you have appetizing food on-hand whenever you don't feel like cooking.

There are countless combinations of soft-foods that make delicious and nutritious meals you can enjoy quickly, such as avocado and scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese, red lentil dal and rice, or soft cooked tofu with noodles, the combinations are endless.
